WHAT SHOULD I DO FIRST?
WHAT should I do first? The answer to this question is often shrouded in uncertainty and anxiety. Every day is filled with human duties–business, household, social, scholastic–all demanding immediate attention. But Christian Science points out that the order of duty always begins with the divine, with an obligation which takes precedence over every human demand.
Our first duty is to God, the divine Principle of the universe. Discord and frustration result from attempting to put our other duties first, leaving our duty to God to be undertaken later or neglected altogether. When the obligation to God is put first, the order of our activities falls naturally into place, and harmony and achievement ensue.
