RADIO PROGRAM No. 277 - An Encouraging Promise Explained

Speaker: Can you imagine what it would be like, after years of complete invalidism from heart disease, to find your health and strength restored? That's the experience that came to our guest. And it illustrates how vitally alive these words of Christ Jesus are: "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven." I'd like you to meet Mrs. Lula Lee, of Los Angeles, California.

Suppose you tell us about it, Mrs. Lee.

Mrs. Lee: I'm happy to. It's a real privilege to share this healing with others. You see, I'd been told I couldn't live more than a few weeks. I'd been in bed for three and a half years, suffering from heart disease, and I was having hypodermic injections almost constantly to ease the pain. I was down to seventy pounds. I prayed that if I had to die, I'd be given enough time to get a better understanding of God, then I'd be ready. My prayer was answered in a much better way than I'd expected. I learned I didn't have to die to find God—I could live !
