In The Christian Science Journal of June, 1940, a testimony of mine was published. Since then I have had many more proofs of the presence and power of God to heal.

Some of the experiences that took place in the early days of my study of Christian Science illustrate to me the unfolding of the spiritual idea. Years have only added value to them, and they stand out as waymarks; for me, they were incidents in a vital pilgrimage, signposts in a journey towards reality.

When my husband was in France during the First World War, I went back, for a time, to live at my parents' home. While there I became ill and was healed through Christian Science. This experience taught me a great deal. I had seen the vital truth of the allness of Mind and the unreality of matter, but I was often puzzled about how to apply such tremendous statements to human problems.
