"UNTO THEE LIFT I UP MINE EYES"

Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens" (Ps. 123:1). What joy is ours when we lift up our eyes from earthly vistas to the spiritual realm of infinite divine Mind!

The writer recalls with gratitude a time when this truth brought much comfort to him. A physical problem of a loved one had been slow in yielding to Christian Science treatment. Though there was no temptation to doubt that it would yield, yet a sense of burden and discouragement had found entrance to his thinking.

One night he stepped out of doors for a moment to be quiet and alone. Lifting up his eyes to the heavens, he saw a sky filled with bright stars, each in its own place. A grand sense of the infinitude of God and of the presence of the Christ began to fill his consciousness, and he found that he was being lifted above the problem.
