Having been the reciepient of so many benefits through the study and application of Christian Science, I feel impelled to express my grateful thanks for this truth which heals and blesses all when faithfully and properly applied.

My first healing in Christian Science, which occurred many years ago, was of a severe nervous breakdown. Through the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner, some of the symptoms disappeared immediately; others were slower in yielding. I attribute the complete healing to the regular study of the Lesson-Sermons from the Christian Science Quarterly, to the inspiration received from the hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal, and to the steadfast and loving aid of practitioners.

During the years that I have been a student of Christian Science, I have had healings of colds, sore throat, toothache, diphtheria, and rheumatism. An abscess dissolved instantaneously through my pondering this verse from the Bible (Hebr. 4:12): "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." I also pondered this statement by Mary Baker Eddy (Science and Health, p. 538): "Truth should, and does, drive error out of all selfhood."
