Christian Science has been the way of life to my family for over seventy years. My grandmother was healed of tuberculosis while reading the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.

I owe much gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her life and writings, for without the latter I should be groping blindly for the answer to the problem of being. Through Mrs. Eddy's writings I have been shown the way of salvation from evil, sickness, and disease.

My childhood was filled with proofs of God's goodness and the healing efficacy of Christian Science. These proofs included instantaneous healings of earache, sore throat, and severely burned feet, to mention only a few. A very important experience that changed my whole life occurred when I was about thirteen years old.
