LOVE MEETS OUR EVERY NEED
In the Bible are many passages which reveal some aspect of the nature of God. He is described as Spirit, as Life, and as Love. Christ Jesus, in addition to declaring that God is Spirit, frequently spoke of Him as Father and taught his listeners that the loving Father of all is forever supplying all good to His children.
Christian Science teaches that a material, mortal man is not God's spiritual offspring, but is a counterfeit of the real man, experiencing lack, limitation, incompleteness, and dissatisfaction in varying degrees.
In the light which Christian Science throws upon the Scriptures, we gain some understanding of the true nature of man, spiritual, satisfied, complete, lacking nothing, to whom the Father is always saying, as implied in the words of the father to the elder son in Jesus' parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:31), "Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine."
