WINNING AND WEARING THE CROWN OF JOY

The newcomer to Christian Science who hopefully turns to this Science in search of the crown of joy which the Scriptures promise to mankind surely finds it. This is so because Christian Science presents to humanity the one and only true basis for winning and wearing a permanent crown of joy.

One may ask, "But how can joy be a guaranteed certainty?" The answer is simple. Through the study of Christian Science the student's concept of joy rises above illusive human theory into the permanent realm of reality. Here joy is revealed as a spiritual quality of God, divine Mind. It is universally and impartially bestowed by God on His infinite, spiritual creation, including each one's true selfhood.

There is no place or space in the universe of Mind where joy is not forever expressed. Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 514): "Mind, joyous in strength, dwells in the realm of Mind. Mind's infinite ideas run and disport themselves."
