"THIS LIVING TRUTH"

The search for Truth is an individual adventure. Truth is necessarily individually discerned and demonstrated. Through the revelation of Christian Science we know Truth to be God, the infinite, living Principle, maintaining its own activity and power. Truth is another name for eternal Mind. Truth is the living presence, the active power, and the unerring guide in human affairs when it is understood and obeyed.

Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, demonstrated the healing power of Truth in his ministry. He knew that no problem is so difficult that divine Truth cannot heal it; therefore his approach to the most stubborn claims of mortal mind was authoritative.

The Master said to the man with the withered hand (Matt. 12:13), "Stretch forth thine hand." To the centurion whose servant was sick he said (Matt. 8:7), "I will come and heal him." To Jairus, whose daughter had been pronounced dead, he said (Luke 8:52), "Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth." He affirmed the truth with regard to every phase of error. Truth is the very essence of intelligence. It is all that is needed to solve any problem, regardless of its tenacity.
