For many months I have wanted to express my gratitude for the blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. My first healing came nearly fifty-one years ago simply through reading Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. Although I could grasp but very little, that little was sufficient to bring about a complete healing within a month. A readjustment of internal organs took place, and an anticipated surgical operation was never needed.

One important lesson learned from this first experience was that I must depend on God directly for my help. This was especially valuable, because for many years we lived on a ranch far from a Church of Christ, Scientist, and from other Scientists. Here the truths of Christian Science were used to heal many kinds of discord.

Inflammatory rheumatism, sinus trouble, goiter, and other diseases were healed. Moreover, divine Love supplied every need during the drought and the grasshopper plague of the thirties. Through the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner, a line of work opened up for my husband, as well as for me, so that we were able to send our daughter to high school and to college.
