For many months I have wanted to express my gratitude for the blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. My first healing came nearly fifty-one years ago simply through reading Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. Although I could grasp but very little, that little was sufficient to bring about a complete healing within a month. A readjustment of internal organs took place, and an anticipated surgical operation was never needed.

One important lesson learned from this first experience was that I must depend on God directly for my help. This was especially valuable, because for many years we lived on a ranch far from a Church of Christ, Scientist, and from other Scientists. Here the truths of Christian Science were used to heal many kinds of discord.
