GOOD ALONE IS REAL

God is good. As like produces like, so all that God creates is necessarily good. In the first chapter of Genesis, which contains the true account of creation, we read (verse 31), "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good."

Now God's creation does not change. It is still good and will always be good. The creator being immutable good, His creation remains good. The Scriptures also declare that God is the sole creator; hence there is no creation besides the divine. From these facts, Christian Science logically concludes that good alone is real.

On page 472 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes: "All reality is in God and His creation, harmonious and eternal. That which He creates is good, and He makes all that is made. Therefore the only reality of sin, sickness, or death is the awful fact that unrealities seem real to human, erring belief, until God strips off their disguise."
