Mary Baker Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures"...

Mary Baker Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 254), "Pilgrim on earth, thy home is heaven; stranger, thou art the guest of God." How comforting is this truth when it is understood! The Psalmist declares (Ps. 139:7-10): "Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me,"

I left my country because it was at that time oppressed, and I resentfully asked, "Why could not I have been born in a free country?" Later on, a copy of Science and Health was given to me. When I started to read, I understood very little of its meaning, but I realized that God is Love and that He does not know evil.

From this time on, my only aim was to drink in the spirit of this wonderful truth. I read the Bible, Science and Health, and all the other authorized Christian Science literature; and I learned that man's real home is in the harmony of Soul. At last I could say in the words of a hymn (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 64), "My heart is singing: I have found the way."
