As a child I was constantly under the care of doctors. They said I had a valvular heart condition and was anemic. I bad constant colds and catarrh, as well as numerous attacks of pneumonia.
When I was fourteen my mother began studying Christian Science, and I attended the Sunday School. Almost immediately the colds and catarrh vanished, and I was also freed from the heart condition and the anemia. Ever since then, I have been very active and have had excellent health.
From the first, the Christian Science hymns have appealed to me. They have helped me under so many different circumstances that I should like to mention a few. During the births of each of my three children, I experienced no discomfort. In the months preceding their arrival, I spent many happy hours studying Mrs. Eddy's writings and singing our hymns. During that time I found much help in Hymn No. 154 in the Christian Science Hymnal, the last verse of which reads.
