It is with a deep sense of gratitude for some knowledge of the truth concerning God and man's relationship to Him that I feel impelled to write this testimony. This truth, which is completely explained in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, is indeed our guide into a promised land of freedom. Long had I pondered the meaning of Jesus' words (Matt. 7:7), "Seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." By my persistent seeking and knocking, the right door finally opened; it was Christian Science, which leads into all truth.

I have experienced healings of such conditions as arthritis, influenza, and a sprained ankle. The solving of domestic and other problems of inharmonious relationships has proved to me the efficacy of this Science when rightly applied to any particular situation. Sometimes these healings were the result of my own uplifted thought, even though at the time I did not understand much of the Science of the spiritual law which heals.

At other times it has been necessary to call for the help of a practitioner. I should like to relate one such instance, which concerns the healing of double vision. One afternoon several years ago I felt a very painful sensation in the back of my eyes. I did not know what had taken place, but the following morning as I started my usual drive to my place of business, I became aware that I was seeing two of everything. I was forced to turn back to my home and request that prayerful work be taken up by a Christian Science practitioner.
