In Psalms we read (18:28), "Thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness." I clung to this hope and promise during many months of searching the Bible for comfort. One day my sister brought me the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. When I opened the book and began to read, I knew it was the fulfillment of this promise of light.

I read the textbook from eleven o'clock that morning until late that night, with only a very few interruptions. At this time I discovered that I had been healed of headaches of five months' duration. I knew I stood on holy ground, for I had found the Science of Christ.

I was overjoyed and grateful, because I recognized this truth to be the pearl of great price. During the fourteen years since then, I have touched the hem of the garment of Christ, Truth, many times, proving again and again the power of divine Mind.
