Activities for the Armed Services
North Carolina
In the general area of New Bern, North Carolina, there are two United States Marine installations. One of these is a training center that was erected in a large wooded area on the banks of the New River. The camp Protestant chapel is a beautiful red brick edifice which harmonizes with the other brick buildings at the installation.
In the front foyer of this chapel there is a corner which Christian Scientists may use for quiet study. Once inside the foyer, they are attracted to the corner by a beautiful picture of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. On a table is a Christian Science library containing copies of the Bible, the published writings of Mrs. Eddy, and Christian Science literature.
