THEY JOURNEY ON
They
journey on—the loved ones who have stepped
Beyond our ken of mortal sound and sight.
And we who mourned through shadowed hours have wept
Such needless tears. They journey on in light
And Life, still moving in Mind's radiant now.
Serene, they see that death could not destroy
Or bless their way. The Comforter will plow
And plant bereavement's solitude with joy.
Then, linger not in grief. They are not gone.
They want no tears nor plaintive elegy.
Their vital consciousness continues on—
The indestructible reality.
The loved ones who discern that Life is Mind
Shall leave the broken death dream far behind.
