On page 1 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy makes this arresting statement: "Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires, that they may be moulded and exalted before they take form in words and in deeds." This truth has been borne out in my experience.
Very early in life I became dissatisfied with the orthodox church which I attended. The reason was that it did not provide me with a satisfactory answer to the problems of sickness and other discords of human experience.
Soon after starting to work I met a man through business contacts who expressed much love and kindness to everyone whom he met. One day he told me that through Christian Science he had been healed of gallstones.
