I first became acquainted with...
I first became acquainted with Christian Science when I married. My wife had been reared in the teachings of this religion ever since her mother had been healed of a serious stomach ailment through Christian Science treatment. During the first nine years of our marriage I did not give Science very much thought or consideration, even though I had seen some wonderful healings of our children, whom my wife was bringing up in Christian Science. In fact, I was even a little antagonistic toward this religion in which my wife was so engrossed.
I had a growth on one eye caused by an old injury I had received while playing football. This became so bad that it began to obstruct my vision. I told my wife that I was going to have an operation to have this growth removed. She recommended that I try Christian Science. I gave my consent and requested treatment. Three days later, while I was shaving, I noticed there was no longer even a sign of this growth.
