RADIO PROGRAM No. 219 - Overcoming Poverty and Lack

Speaker: Everything that's really worthwhile, everything that brings lasting happiness, can be found through a correct understanding of God. Our guest, Mrs. Evelyn May Drennan of Victoria, Canada, had a wonderful adventure discovering what God's gifts to man really are. And so our program today is entitled "Overcoming Poverty and Lack."

Will you tell us your experience, Mrs. Drennan?

Mrs. Drennan: As a young girl I found the world a very dark place. There was a lot of poverty and limitation. Our home was in Liverpool, England, and it was a time of severe depression which touched the whole family. I was subject to moods of despondency, and I resented the fact that I'd been born at all. I just grew up feeling I had no abilities and no purpose in life.
