Since my parents were students of Christian Science when I was born, I have had this truth all my life. I have experienced many healings for which to be grateful.

When our eldest daughter was born she was slightly clubfooted, and also a birthmark on her neck became infected. Specific prayerful work was done, and both conditions were entirely healed. The child is now twelve years old, and the healing has been permanent.

Another healing for which I am very grateful was that of a growth that I had had for twelve years. The temptation came to go to a physician and have it removed, but this was not done. I knew that for the healing to be complete it would have to come through God, the only physician. I felt ill and despondent, burdened with the care of my family. Housework was a never-ending chore. I had been having help from a practitioner, but even then God seemed very far away.
