Christian Science came to me more than sixty years ago when five physicians said that I had at the most ten days to live. I was paralyzed from the waist to the feet and had been in bed for a year. A Christian Science practitioner came to my father and asked him if he would be willing to try Science for me. My father asked her how she healed, and she answered: "I don't do it. God does the healing." His quick answer was: "Go right ahead. I have great faith in God." I was healed in one day. Christian Science has met my every need ever since then.

I wish to express my appreciation of God's protecting care by telling of the following experience. I lost a diamond ring. After putting an advertisement in the daily paper I went home to study the Christian Science textbooks, the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and to know the truth of God and of the man that God made. I studied and prayed until five o'clock the next morning. Then I said, "Now, God, I leave it with You," and I fell asleep.

The next day, when I was tempted to rehearse the experience, I said to myself, "I have left it with God." That was my answer all day long. At seven o'clock that evening my telephone rang, and a very kind voice said, "Did you lose a diamond ring?" I said that I had, and I described it. The caller said, "I will bring it to you."
