A Pacific Island
A Christian Scientist serving as a Navy Chaplain wrote Christian Science Activities for the Armed Services as follows:
"An airman who was a Christian Scientist was riding a motor scooter that he had just purchased. Its brakes were faulty, but he did not learn this fact until he was going down a hill. At the foot of it, the road turned onto a bridge. Losing control of the scooter, he was thrown over the front and landed on his hands and face on the open grating of the bridge.
