Our family has had many proofs of God's loving care through our own efforts in applying Christian Science and through the loving help of practitioners. Some time ago I called on a practitioner for help regarding what appeared to be gall bladder trouble. The healing came about after the practitioner's work revealed to me the erroneous thinking which was causing the physical discomfort. When my children had contagious diseases, sometimes the diseases yielded to Christian Science treatment before they could be properly reported to the health authorities.

While on a shopping trip at the holiday season a few years ago, we lost the money we had set aside for the Christmas season, I had to go to work shortly after the discovery of the loss; so I called on a friend for prayerful help. As a result of the friend's clear thinking, the manager of one of the stores where we had been, called me at my place of business and told me he had found the money on the basement floor, where holiday shoppers had been for two hours or more. The currency was still intact. Christian Science truly proves that there is no loss in Mind.

One evening I was using my pressure cooker for open kettle canning. Being in a hurry, I did not notice that the lid had fastened when I set it on the kettle. I had not intended it to do so. Steam accumulated, and when I took the lid off, the syrup and peaches in the kettle were thrown in my face. I hurried to the sink and washed my face and neck. Then I requested Christian Science treatment of the same friend who had helped me with the lost money. The pain soon subsided. In a week or so the outer skin on my face washed away and left a clear skin with no aftereffects.
