"Who is so great a God as our God?" (Ps. 77:13.) My first healing in Christian Science came to me thirty-four years ago. Previous to that time I had never heard of this religion. I was suffering from brain fever and had been given up to die. On the advice of the attending physician, I was carried into a Pullman car compartment to go to my home in another state.

Soon after I entrained, I met a Christian Science lecturer, who occupied the compartment opposite mine, and she healed me. After talking with me for a few minutes, she gave me the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Before I had read to the bottom of page 3, I knew I had found the truth for which I had been searching for years.

I fell peacefully asleep for the first time in many months, during which I had frequently been in a coma or delirious. When I awoke, I found that I was able to eat normally, although I had partaken of no solid food for weeks.
