The testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and in the Sentinel prove that the teachings of our religion are being utilized by people all over the world. I enjoy these testimonies and learn much from them.

In 1950, before I knew anything about Christian Science, I was confined in a mental hospital. My mother was a young student of this Science, however, and through her efforts a practitioner visited me at the hospital. As a result of his prayerful work for me I was free within a matter of days from mental trouble and was released from the institution.

In 1955, while working in a garage as a mechanic, I burned the end of one finger. A wartlike growth formed and gave evidence of remaining permanently. I felt concerned about it, and I spent some time repeating the Lord's Prayer and its spiritual interpretation, given in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (pp. 16, 17). Before long the growth on the end of the finger was almost gone. Today there is no sign of it left.
