O sing unto the Lord a new...

"O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory" (Ps. 98:1). I wish to express my gratitude for the many healings I have received through Christian Science.

About six years ago I was stricken with a severe case of smallpox, which was accompanied by a high fever. A Christian Science practitioner helped me to see that this condition was no part of the real man. With the understanding of this truth, I was able to see the Bible promise fulfilled (Job 11: 15): "Then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear."

My parents read to me almost constantly from the Bible and Christian Science literature, and when I felt almost overwhelmed, I sang out the beautiful truths contained in the hymns I had learned as a child in a Christian Science Sunday School. Within a remarkably short time I was back at my work. No one would know that I had ever had smallpox, for I do not have a single mark from it.
