I should like to express my gratitude...

I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for the many blessings I have received through the study and application of its teachings.

A few years ago a wartlike growth, which was very ugly and disturbing, appeared on the end of my nose. The help of a Christian Science practitioner was sought, and while he and I were holding firmly to the truth the condition completely disappeared, leaving no marks of any kind. Two citations were studied industriously during this experience. The first one was from the Bible (Hebr. 4:12): "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." And the second citation was from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 463): "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive."

I should also like to tell of the healing of an arthritic condition in my right arm which was so painful that it was difficult at times to move the arm or even to hold a pencil. This was healed through the consecrated work of a practitioner and through much study of these inspiring words of Mrs. Eddy (ibid., p. 283): "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action. Mind is the same Life, Love, and wisdom 'yesterday, and to-day, and forever.' Matter and its effects—sin, sickness, and death—are states of mortal mind which act. react, and then come to a stop. They are not facts of Mind."
