In Matthew we read (5:6)...
In Matthew we read (5:6), "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Blessed too are they who hunger and thirst after Christian Science, for they shall indeed be blessed with the wonderful treasure of spiritual understanding.
"The scientific statement of being" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 468) is certainly a statement of absolute truth. The last two sentences have been particularly helpful to me: "Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual."
About thirteen years ago the meaning of this statement became clearer than ever to me. A store where I was employed had large, glass showcases with heavy glass sliding doors. One day one of these doors became stuck, and when I pulled hard on it, it became loose and crushed my right hand in the lock.
