Some time ago my hands broke out, burning and itching. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and before long the healing took place. Just by reading the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly and praying as we are taught in Christian Science, I have been healed of sick headaches, a lump on my body, and a small growth on my neck. My children have been healed of toothache, measles, and other so-called children's ills. These ills have been few, because we have been beautifully protected from sickness.

Five years ago we came to this city to live, something my husband had wanted to do for years. Our relatives and neighbors predicted we would not succeed here in earning a living for our two small children because my husband was near the middle-age mark. I held to the thought, "If it is right for us to be here, God will see us through."

At first my husband could only get temporary and part-time work, but we managed to get along. When things were at their worst, I was able to find a very good position, and I worked for over a year. Each day I read the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, getting up at three o'clock in the morning to do so. This reading proved to be well worth while in many ways. Finally, after being here a year and a half, my husband secured a position with the city and is doing work for which he is trained and which he likes very much. This proved that obstacles are overcome when we are on God's side. We decided to sell our house in the city we had left, and we tried to know the truth about supply and demand. In two weeks the house was sold, and the proceeds were used to buy a house here. Complications brought about by misunderstandings with the real estate man in our former city were straightened out by late afternoon of the last day given us to make final settlement for the house here.
