I wish to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science. My first healing came through gratitude to God for my many blessings. I had been helping my husband do some extra work and was resentful about it. This caused a nauseated feeling every morning which lasted until noon. I would have the help of a practitioner occasionally and would be relieved for a few days, after which the condition would return. This went on for about a year and a half.

During a telephone conversation a Christian Scientist said to me, "You are not expressing love." After the conversation I examined my thoughts and realized that my friend was right. I thought: "How grateful I should be that I have the strength to take care of my family of five and to do this added work also. I enjoy the extra things we can have, but I haven't wanted to help to make it possible to get them." With this revelation I was instantaneously and completely healed. I am grateful not only for the physical healing, but also for the overcoming of disagreeable traits of character which did not bring me happiness.

I should also like to tell of the healing of a sprained ankle. At first I tried to help myself, but the condition did not respond. I thought of calling a practitioner, but I would have had to go to the neighbors next door to use the telephone, and I knew they were out. Then the thought came to me, "The same power and love that would be used by the practitioner are right here for you to claim." With that thought, I fell asleep, and the next day I was able to be on my foot all day without discomfort. The swelling and discoloration soon disappeared.

Another outstanding proof of the power of scientific prayer and faith in God was that of the purchase of a house at a time when we had only three hundred dollars available. I knew that everything is possible to God and that our need would be supplied. We looked at several houses, but they could not be bought with small down payments, and we did not like them anyway. This did not disturb me or weaken my faith. In a few days we went to another realtor. After showing us several places, he said: "I know of a beautiful nine-room bungalow on an acre of ground with just the highway between the house and a lake. If you will wait for me, I will go to the owner's home and see what I can do."

He drove us to the house, which was a beautiful one. The minute I stepped in I knew that this was the home for us, and I thanked God. The arrangements were made in a manner we could handle, and our three hundred dollars was accepted as the down payment. Thus, with practically no money, but with an understanding faith in God we were led to the loveliest home we ever had, although we had previously owned much more expensive ones. This experience proved to me that one's darkest hour can become his time of greatest triumph. With such proof that everything is possible with God, I do not know how I can ever be disturbed again in working out any of my problems.

For these proofs of the truth, which Jesus brought to the world and which was revealed to this age by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, I am deeply grateful.
