I want to express my gratitude...

I want to express my gratitude for Christian Science and its wonderful message to this age. I have been a student of this Science for many years, and during that time I have had many proofs of the healing it brings when rightly applied.

One of the most outstanding instances was the healing of asthma, from which I had suffered since boyhood. During attacks of this condition it was almost impossible for me to breathe while lying down. Consequently, I spent many nights sitting up in a chair. Shortly after coming into Christian Science, I had work done on this problem by a devout practitioner. When the next attack came, I was sitting up in a chair at night, as I had done previously. All at once I felt led to go to bed and go to sleep. Scarcely knowing why I was doing it, I retired and slept soundly. In the morning I was entirely free, and I went to my work that day thanking God for Christian Science. There have been no further attacks of asthma.

Lack has been overcome, lost articles have been found, and many minor physical healings have taken place. I want to express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude for our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. My appreciation of her wonderful revelation, given to us in her writings, grows daily. I am very grateful for all the good I have received through the study of Christian Science, for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for the privilege of serving therein. Also I am grateful for class instruction and, perhaps most of all, for the help of practitioners I have had on the way from sense to Soul.—Clarence W. Barnard, Olympia, Washington.
