ANGEL THOUGHTS HEAL US

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Every summer Jean and her parents spent their vacation with Aunt Jean and Uncle Lou at their cottage on the shore of a beautiful lake. The little girl's Uncle Lou taught Jean how to swim and to row a boat; how to identify the many birds she saw in the woods, and how to recognize the various trees and wild flowers. On rainy days her aunt often read to her.

Every winter Aunt Jean came to visit Jean and her parents in the big city where they made their home. One visit Jean never forgot. Her aunt seemed different. When she smiled down at her little namesake, her eyes shone, and Jean felt happy and good way down deep inside. But she did not know why.

On the morning after her aunt's arrival, Jean knocked gently on the guest room door. She was answered by a cheery good morning and was given an invitation to come in. Her aunt was seated at the desk with books open before her. "This one," she explained, "is the Bible, and the other is 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures' by Mary Baker Eddy. And this," she added, "is the Christian Science Quarterly. It contains weekly Lesson-Sermons which Christian Scientists study daily. You see, dear," she continued, "I was very ill, and the doctors couldn't help me. But when I studied these books, I was healed."
