Christian Science healed my mother when she appeared to be passing on, although she was under the care of a sincere physician. At her father's request the physician was dismissed, and a Christian Science practitioner was called. A complete healing followed.

This was the first time our immediate family had ever heard of this beautiful religion with its quick healing efficacy. I had never been considered a well individual, and after my marriage I had a major operation which left me in a weaker condition. A short time after my mother's healing I became very ill. A physician said there was a need for my immediate hospitalization and for a consultation regarding the removal of the organs which were causing the trouble. I decided to place complete reliance on God's help through treatment by the same practitioner who had done the beautiful work for my mother, and I was healed in two weeks.

Since then I have had healings of many kinds, but the experience of finding out about God and His love for me and mine was the most wonderful part of all. As a mother I was very grateful for spiritual protection for my own daughter, realizing her existence as God's child. The daily study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly carried me through situations that appeared difficult to others, but not to me. My thought was constantly filled with the assurance that nothing is impossible to God.
