While my husband and I were away from our home on an errand, the house was broken into and burglarized. The family luggage and the television set were taken from the house. My husband immediately called the sheriff, and I called a Christian Science practitioner. Help was lovingly given, and my state of nervousness was calmed.

During the days and weeks that followed, I tried earnestly to love more, instead of being resentful and hating the person who took our things. I knew that in reality he was an honest child of God as much as I was and could do nothing that was wrong. Also I realized that my home was whole and complete, regardless of the material objects which had been taken.

The article "Reversing False Testimony" in The Christian Science Journal for March, 1954, was brought to my attention. It gave just the right food for my thought at this time. The author stated, "Every Christian Science treatment must reject the belief of a man who lives and moves apart from God and recognize clearly the unassailable unity of God and man in Truth."
