A Committee for Institutional Service Reports Healings in Christian Science

The Christian Science Committee for Institutional Service in the state of New York reports that Christian Science church services are being held in many public institutions there; also healing work by practitioners and the distribution of Christian Science literature are being carried on in some city and state institutions.

This healing work is doing much to bring about greater respect for Christian Science. The following accounts of healings are taken from the Committee's report.

Last spring at a women's prison a resident was hospitalized withan affliction that had troubled her for a long time. She had already lapsed into a coma and had been given but twenty-four hours to live when the Christian Science practitioner who visits that institution was granted permission to handle the case. Christian Science treatment was given, and in a short time the patient opened her eyes and spoke. Two days later the woman was well enough to attend the Christian Science lecture given in the institution. She is now a student of this Science. Besides being physically well, she has been regenerated.
