Two very helpful aids in solving our problems are the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals and the hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal. For some time I have felt a desire to contribute my testimony so that it may help others.

As a child I had many questions about the Bible, but the Sunday School I attended did not afford the answers or give me a sense of health or well-being. Some of my friends attended a Christian Science Sunday School, and I realized that their religion was a practical one, which they used daily.

When I was eleven years old, the doctor told my parents that I had heart trouble and a nervous breakdown. I was very much underweight, and the doctor insisted on my immediate removal from school. As he knew of no medicine that could help me, he was not optimistic about my recovery.
