ACCEPTING THE TRUTH

The simplicity of Christian Science is readily apparent to anyone who has been touched by its healing ministry. But there are those who, like the lepers cleansed of false thinking by Christ Jesus, fail to return to give thanks. Such reluctance to accept Truth may be analogous to the thought of the young man who considered the sacrifice of riches too great to make for the reward of the treasures in heaven.

It is safe to say that no one has fully accepted Christian Science until he or she has accepted without reservation or equivocation the nomenclature employed by Mary Baker Eddy, Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and the author of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."

Mrs. Eddy has given to the world certain terms and definitions as well as capitalization which have no authorization other than that which lay in the inspiration she received from divine Mind. The sincere seeker will not take offense at these innovations because they are new or contrary to tradition. Striving with an open mind to understand the new language of Spirit, he will feel the last vestige of prejudice disappear.
