I am very happy to testify to the great joy that Christian Science has brought into my life. When I was quite young, my mother passed on. This brought much grief to me, for we had been constant companions and loved each other very much. I was left alone in the world and without a comforting religion to help me.

I had never heard of Christian Science until the day after my mother's passing. Then I asked a dear friend, "What is it that makes you always so happy and so kind?"

"If you would really like to know," she replied, "I will give you the address of a hall where Christian Science church services are held." I took the address and later attended a Wednesday testimony meeting. The reading from the desk and all the testimonies were most helpful. When I came away from the meeting, I was completely healed. Gone was all my sorrow and misery, and in their place was a wonderful sense of calm and freedom and love.
