Nearly fifty years ago our family...

Nearly fifty years ago our family was introduced to Christian Science through my sister's healing of a condition diagnosed as inflammation of the bladder. She had suffered from this for a period of eight years, although she had received various kinds of medical treatment. When our mother turned to Christian Science help for her, the. healing came within a month.

Many blessings have come to us from our study of Christian Science and from the help of consecrated practitioners. At one time I had eye trouble which I feared might result in blindness. When I realized that man is the reflection of God, Truth, and that true sight is spiritual, my fear of blindness disappeared. I was able to remove my glasses, which I had worn for twenty-five years, and I now sew, read, and do office work without them.

About two years ago I twisted my left foot severely, and the pain was almost more than I could bear. All I could think to say was, "Dear God, please help me." As soon as I telephoned a practitioner the pain grew less, although the foot was very much discolored. I was able to return to work in one week, and in two weeks I traveled by train to California for a month's visit with my son. At my son's insistence an X ray was taken. The doctor said that there was no doubt that a bone in the foot had been broken, but that it had been set correctly. I had no medical treatment, but had the help of a Christian Science practitioner, and the font gave me no more trouble.
