"How beautiful upon the mountains...

"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace"! (Isa. 52:7.) It is with deep sincerity and humility that I offer this testimony, hoping that someone may be inspired and helped as I have been by my reading of the healings of others.

I have had many beautiful healings through the study and application of Christian Science. Some have come through the consecrated work of loving practitioners and others through my own understanding. Some were instantaneous, while others required more work to prove the fact that error has no existence and is no part of God's reflection, man.

A healing that will always stand out to me was that of ptomaine poisoning. I arose one morning and put some curtains to soak in the bathtub, intending to have my breakfast, read the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, and then wash the curtains. After breakfast I suddenly became ill. I began working, as we are taught to do in Christian Science, to deny error and affirm the truth so that I might realize the presence and power of God, good, and prove the perfection of man as God's image and likeness. As I grew worse, I had to call a Christian Science practitioner for help. Some hours later I felt that I was drifting away, and everything began to turn dark. Fearing that I could not reach my room before losing consciousness, I hurriedly reached up to pull off the bathroom light. Just then everything went blank, and I fell into the partly filled tub.
