I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to God for Christian Science. It has truly brought me the daily bread for which we pray in the Lord's Prayer.

From the age of fourteen I experienced poor health in the form of attacks of kidney stones. By the time I was twenty-three years old, three operations had been performed, numerous medical treatments had been given, and diets had been tried, all to no avail.

During this time I experienced deep depressions, and I wanted to somehow run away from the world. I was given psychiatric treatment in the form of approximately twenty shock treatments, and finally the psychiatrist told my mother there was no more he could do for me, as I no longer had any faith in him.
