One
of the gravest warnings ever uttered against the errors of personal sense and self-pity is to be found in Chapter 19 of the first book of Kings where we read of Elijah, who, after the destruction of the false prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel, received a malicious message from Jezebel threatening to take his life.
In response to frequent and earnest requests for such a gathering, a meeting in the interest of college organization activities has been approved by The Christian Science Board of Directors, to be held in the original edifice of The Mother Church in Boston on Thursday and Friday, September 8 and 9.
Officers of branch churches and individuals who have occasion to correspond with The Christian Science Board of Directors, with the Clerk and the Treasurer of The Mother Church, and with the heads of departments of The Mother Church Offices are requested always to place their addresses on their letters and to write their signatures plainly.
Christian Scientists are taking advantage of the golden opportunity they have these days to make their religion better known and to bless others through Christian Science church services on shipboard.
I should like to add my testimony of gratitude to God for the consecration and devotion of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and for the beautiful unfoldment that has come through her writings and through her establishment of the Church of Christ, Scientist.
With gratitude and humility I offer this testimony of the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science, which I have experienced over a period of many years.
