I am very happy to give this testimony of gratitude for the numerous blessings that I have received through an understanding of Christian Science. I have been healed of inflammation of the ear, eczema, lumbago, and other discordant conditions. One healing which I myself thought would be impossible to have was that of the smoking habit. I have also been healed of excessive timidity, irascibility, and other negative traits of character.

The serenity of spirit which came to me through the study of Christian Science opened to me the blessing of membership in The Mother Church and made it possible for me to have class instruction. In addition I had the privilege of witnessing the establishment and growth of an informal group of Christian Scientists in this city.

I should like to express my deep gratitude for divine protection in ad verse circumstances. This protection has proved to me the truth of Mary Baker Eddy's statement in the spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 17), "And Love is reflected in love." I have often been helped by Christian Science practitioners, to whose consecration and spiritual understanding I can testify.

The Bible was an unknown book to me for many years. Christian Science has enabled me to appreciate this precious book and has made it understandable to me. I am indeed grateful to God for all those who first helped me in my study of Science. Also I am profoundly grateful for Mrs. Eddy, whom God appointed to give Christian Science to a waiting world, and for the movement she founded.
