THOUGHTS ON SUPPLY

Spirit is the only substance, and man, God's image, has his substance in Spirit. To make this fact our own will reveal supply as limitless and immediately available. The general acceptance of the truth concerning substance would revolutionize all modes of business and systems of demand and supply.

The heavenly fact that Spirit is substance can be made practical in earthly experience. Our approach to God, the true source of substance, is through prayer. Since God, Spirit, is omnipresent, substance must be ever present also. There is no place, period, or situation where substance does not exist. The only lack is a dearth of spiritual thinking; the only poverty is a belief of separation from God.

The proofs given by Christ Jesus of the ever-availability of God's ideas should awaken Christians to the naturalness of God's affluence. The Master fed "five thousand men, beside women and children" (Matt. 14:21) when he appeared to have only five loaves and two fishes; and again, when he had only seven loaves and a few little fishes, he fed four thousand men beside women and children (see Matt. 15:32-38). On another occasion he instructed Peter to take the tribute money from a fish's mouth.
