It is with an overflowing sense of gratitude for God's love that I write this testimony. For many years I have studied Christian Science and received help from kind practitioners. Also, as my understanding grows, I am able to apply its teachings myself and to go forward in demonstrating them.

I am grateful that our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, labored "not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life" (John 6:27). In the chapter on Prayer in Science and Health she writes (p. 1), "Prayer, watching, and working, combined with self-immolation, are God's gracious means for accomplishing whatever has been successfully done for the Christianization and health of mankind." Our Leader's writings and the biographies about her have helped me many times. My children and grandchildren have had the privilege of the Christian Science Sunday School, and my great-granddaughter will have that privilege also.

Our family has had many healings through the years. One of my daughters had a quick healing when she was severely burned. This was a wonderful proof of God's care and protection. Through a Christian Science practitioner's constant and faithful work I was healed many years ago of severe nervousness.
