Weslaco, Texas (Society).
Members of Christian Science Society, Weslaco, announced dedication of their church edifice at a service... on September 12, 1954.
Twenty students of Christian Science in Weslaco met in October, 1946, for the purpose of organizing a Christian Science Society. Regular Sunday services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings were held in the Weslaco High School auditorium. On July 3, 1947, the society was recognized as a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
A residence at the corner of Sixth and Missouri Streets was purchased in 1950, and services were held immediately in the new location. Two years later the building was remodeled and is now ready to be dedicated.
