A LESSON FROM THE LAST SUPPER
Christian Scientists engaged in a branch church activity naturally co-operate harmoniously with one another. Science teaches that there is one Mind, one divine Principle— God—one will, one purpose. Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 379), "The real jurisdiction of the world is in Mind, controlling every effect and recognizing all causation as vested in divine Mind."
Since this is true of "the real jurisdiction of the world," it must be true also of every activity of church, office, and household. Animal magnetism (a term for all evil) would suggest otherwise, but Christian Scientists learn the necessity of handling animal magnetism, that is, of dispelling their fear of and faith in evil and its assumed power to disrupt or control their thoughts.
