In gratitude for the many blessings...

In gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought and continues to bring into my experience, I submit this testimony. I am deeply grateful for the consecrated life and work of Mary Baker Eddy, who has revealed to us the spiritual and practical meaning of the Scriptures, and for every activity of the Church which she founded.

My parents were introduced to Christian Science during my childhood days, and they enrolled me in the Sunday School of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. The understanding which I gained there has been a great help to me. I learned to know God as He is revealed in the Bible and in the textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I was taught that the evidence of the material senses is unreliable, for only spiritual sense bears witness to the reality of being. All that was lovingly given to me during those years provided the foundation on which to build when I came to the realization that Christian Science alone can furnish the complete and satisfying answer to human problems. I then took steps to become a member of The Mother Church and a branch church.

I have had many healings— physical, mental, and moral— which have been accomplished by the spiritual means which Christ Jesus employed and taught his followers to employ, and which Christian Science today offers to the world. Some of the conditions healed have been a diseased bone, a poisoned finger, boils, sties, colds, a toothache, sickness, and the effects of a bicycle accident. In some of these cases I have been blessed by the loving work of practitioners. Some of the healings have been instantaneous, while others have taken longer to consummate. The most valuable result of each protracted healing has been the lesson learned front it, resulting in the purification and regeneration of human character.
