My healing of physical ills and my transformation of character began about thirty years ago when my wife gave me a copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, as a Christmas present. Before I had finished reading its wonderful, stirring statements I saw that Christian Science was the revelation of Truth, and I joyously took it up as a study, with little thought of physical healing.

During this study my thinking became more spiritual, and as I began to understand the present perfection of God, man, and the universe, numerous fears and wrong traits of character were gradually detected and ejected from my consciousness. Throughout my spiritual education Christian Science has been my only physician, teaching me that as I purify consciousness and remove error from thought, I remove it from the body and from my experience.

I have been healed of the smoking habit, social drinking, gambling, and the use of drugs, as well as of neuralgia, backaches, and physical weakness. More recently grief at the passing of my wife was overcome. Christian Science is teaching me that all good is in God, Spirit, and that we are aware of as much of good as we understand of God.
